The baseplate itself holds 15mm rods at the correct placement to comply with the lightweight support (LWS) standard. If you need a lightweight 15mm support, you can combine the cage with Wooden camera’s Unified DSLR 15mm Baseplate to provide pass through rod support (sold separately). Quick release functionality works the same as existing Manfrotto plates.Ī built lens adapter support system is integrated into the base which is great for attaching to adapters with a 1/4″-20 on the bottom. The bottom portion of the cage includes a Manfrotto quick release dovetail which can attach to a variety of Manfrotto tripod heads. The handle can also fold down when packing your bag and can even be reconfigured onto the left, vertical 15mm rod for a secondary grip. Built into the handle is a cold shoe mount and a 15mm tube clamp for mounting any of our UVF Mount kits used with 3rd party electronic viewfinders. The cage includes a reversible top handle in your choice of wood or rubber, which can be repositioned over the lens area when an XLR adapter is in use. All of the camera’s vital controls on the right grip and left side are easily viewable and accessible.
It features a minimalist design with mounting points on the top and side. The Unified BMPCC4K / BMPCC6K Camera Cage is designed for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6K cameras. They also have a host of other accessories available for the new BMPCC 6K. Wooden Camera is working on a BMPCC 6K EF to PL modification that should be available soon.
